أحيل إلى المعاش بعدها ليتفرغ للتأليف
أصدر ما يزيد عن مئة كتاب بين تأليف وترجمة عن الفرنسية والإنكليزية منها:

Book Description
كان الماريشال فوش رائد الفكر العسكري الفرنسي في مطلع القرن العشرين، وإن إسهامه في برمجة الفكر العسكري العالمي وضعه بحق في مرتبة رواد الفكر الإستراتيجي العالمي. لقد عمل فوش تلميذاً من تلاميذ التاريخ العسكري ثم أستاذاً من أساتذته، فكان مثالاً للتعلم والتعليم، للتقليد والإبداع، للأخذ والعطاء. أما مدرسة فوش العسكرية فلا تكمن أهميتها فيما قدمته من مبادئ نظرية وإنما في إخضاع هذه المبادئ للتجربة العملية، فكان بذلك رائداً من رواد المدرسة التطبيقية في العلوم والفنون فضلاً عن توليه قيادة أضخم جيش عرفه التاريخ حتى ذلك الحين إذ بلغ تعداده أكثر من مليوني جندي ومئة ألف ضابط.
كان فوش نموذجاً للتوازن بين (هدف الحرب) و(غاية السلام) وهذا برهان آخر على ما كان يتميز به ذلك الرائد التاريخي من التوازن في عامة الأمور وخاصتها مما جعل منه نموذجاً للرجال ومثالاً للقيادة الحق.
