الكتاب يقدم نماذج ساخرة عن السلاطين والقضاة والمجاعات والأوبئة ووصف الأطعمة والملابس التى تقدم فى الاحتفالات مع عرض لبعض السلبيات الموجودة فى تلك الفترة فالفن ماهو إلا صور مصغرة لحياة الشعب.
