ما أطول الرحلات التي قطعها بروك وفريقه من الممثلين ذوي الجنسيات المختلفة والأطر الثقافية المتباينة، وهم يرتجلون ويقدمون عروضهم في قلب إفريقيا وعلى أطراف أستراليا، وفي أماكن مختلفة من آسيا وأمريكا، عن هذه التجربة الفنية والثقافية والإنسانية الخصبة، تمت عروض تفوق في أهميتها العروض السابقة "أورجاست - عن كتاب الزرادشتيين القديم" الأفستا في 1971، و "الأيك" - عن قبيلة إفريقية تعاني الجفاف والمجاعة - في 75 - 1979، واجتماع الطير - عن نص الشاعر الفارسي فريد الدين العطار - في 1979، ثم آخر أعماله - ربما أعظمها في هذا السياق - المهابهاراتا عن الملحمة الهندية الشهيرة في 1987، وفي هذا المجلد "كل بيتر بروك" إنه ليس مجرد موسوعة صغيرة، في فنون المسرح فقط، وليس ما فيه مجرد "معلومات" جافة عن هذه الفنون فقط، لكن خبرة إنسانية عميقة وشاملة بهذا الفن الساحر، نقدمه لكل من يتمنى أن يصبح للمسرح دور في حياتنا، من أجل أن نصبح بشراً أفضل، ومواطنين أفضل كذلك.
