لقد سبق لمحمَّد عابد الجابري أن أقدَّمَ وعياً بثنائية [التُّراث – والحداثة]، جَعَلَها، في إستخلاصاته، خارج الواقع، مسألةً ثقافيّةً – فكريَّةً بحتة، لا مجتمعيَّة، كما جعل عبد الله إبراهيم من إعادة إنتاج المفهوم أداةً تجاوز الثُنائيَّة المجتمعيَّة في بلداننا العربيَّة، من خلال الكشف عن، وإستخراج أحاديَّتِها المجتمعيَّة الواحدة.
كما حوَّل محمد آركون، وجورج طرابيشي – وعبد الله العروي، التُراثَ العربيَّ بمضامينه، ومنظوراته، إلى حداثة وتحديث، وفقاً لمعايير الحداثة والتحديث في الغرب.
بَيَدَ أنَّ ما غاب عن هذي الممارسات العِلميَّة إنَّما هو التَّساؤل الإبستيمولوجي على هَديِ شروط إمكان بناء وإعادة بناء [عالَمَيّة – المفهوم – العلميّ – الحديث – في كُلَّ – مَرَّةٍ]، فلا وَضْعَ الثُنائِيَّة خارج الواقع، ولا إعادة إنتاج المفهوم إنطلاقاً من الواقع، ولا تحديث التُّراث وحداثته، يمكن أن تنفتح على [العالَميَّة] إنطلاقاً من موقع إعادة بناء العالميِّ الذي من شأن المفهوم السُّوسيولوجيّ.
كل هذي الدَّعوات إنَّما هي تندرجُ ضمن القياس والتقويم إنطلاقاً من [نماج – مثل]، هي تكون معايير وضع، وإختيار، وتحديد، أوَّلاً وفوقَ كُلِّ شيءٍ، فما هو مضمون البناء وإعادة بناء [العالَميَّة] التي من شأن المفاهيم العِلميَّة، [في – كُلِّ – مَرَّةٍ]، وقد أصبحت الآن كوزموبوليتانيَّة؟...
إنَّ مفهوم [العالَمَيَّة] إنَّما هو مجد تمثُّلَهُ الصريح في مفاهيم السُّوسيولوجيا، منذ القرن الثامن عشر، في إرتباط إبستيمولوجيِّ – معرفيِّ (بعامَّةٍ) بتحوُّل جذريِّ من مفهوم العالَم بما هو عالَمُ ثقافةٍ ما، أو جماعة ما، أو مجتمع ما، أو لغة ما، أي مِنْ مفهوم العالَم مأخوذاً بوصفه عالماً من العوالِم المغلَقة – المغِلقة إلى مفهوم [العالَم – بوصفه – وحدة – العوالِم]، في إنفتاح أصليِّ مفروضٍ على العوالِم التي تريد أن تفعل [فعلاً – معرفيّاً – بعامَّةٍ]، أو [فعلاً – علميّاً – بخاصَّةٍ] أو مجتمعيَّاً ضمن المجتمع العالمي بعامَّةٍ.
