إذا كانت الكتابةُ عملٌ تحريريٌ انعِتّاقيٌ في المقامِ الأول، فإن القراءةَ مرآةٌ للكتابة عندئذٍ، كصلصالٍ نُفخَ فيه الروحُ، فأشرقتْ الحياةُ بهاءً، واكتست النفسُ من حُللِ حدائقِ ذاتِ بهجةٍ، فأينعتْ يثمارِ اليقظة، وأشرقتْ بظلالِ العدلِ والحبِ، فكانَ في الأرضِ السلامُ، وإلّا، فعلى الدنيا سلامٌ!...
وإنَّ أحرفَ هذا الكتابِ لتومئُ على إستحياءٍ إلى غيضٍ من فيضٍ لصفحاتٍ نورانيةٍ، فيها قبسٌ لقابسٍ؛ جذوةُ عشقٍ، ودمعةُ شوقٍ، وكلمةُ حقٍ، وقدوةُ صدقٍ، ليعيشَ القارئُ لحظاتٍ ماضيةً بعقلٍ حاضرٍ، فيرنُو بكُليْته إلى الذين صنعوا الحياة الماجدة، وقدموا دروساً غنّاءَ في الحب والتضحيةِ والعدالةِ والسموِ والإشراقِ والإنسانيةِ والربانيةِ، فكانوا كسحابةٍ معطاءةٍ سقتْ الأرضَ فاخضرّتْ، وكنجومٍ براقةٍ، لا يخبو نورُهَا، ولا ينقطعْ حسنُ طيبِها، إذ ستبقى تلك المواقفُ الفريدةُ، نماذجَ قدوةٍ، فالحديثُ عن الأحبةِ وزمانِهم، حديثٌ تختلجُ فيه الكلماتُ، حتى يعجز عن رصِها أعتى الأدباءُ، فمهما نطقتْ الألسنْ بفضلِها وأفضالِها، ومهما خطتْ الأيدي بوصفِها، تقفُ فنونُ البلاغةِ، وبحورُ النظمِ، عاجزةً عن إيفاءِ ذي الحقِ حقَّهم، وواجبَ شكرِهم.
