نهضت من الفراش مجموعة محسورة مذهلة تكاد لا تصدق. وبدلا من أن تضيع الوقت فى رتق الثوب شبكته بمجموعة من دبابيس الإبرة حتى تسرع بالانصراف, ولما فعلت ذلك وخرجت من الغرفة وجدته جالسا فى الصالة يبكى, ووقف يستعطفها ويطلب الصفح, ولكنها خرجت مسرعة إلى خارج الشقة دون كلمة واحدة وعادت إلى شقتها وهى لاتصدق ماحدث, وقررت ألا تذهب إله ثانية بالرغم مما فى القرار من قسوة على نفسها.
ومضت الأيام وهى فى صراع فكرى بينها وبين نفسها, هل تذهب إليه, أم تنسى الحكاية كلها وتصون كرامتها ولم تقو على الصمت والتردد والحيرة, وحسمت الموقف كله, وأقنعت نفسها بالذهاب إليه.
