إن من أهم الامور الدينية، وآكد العقائد الإسلامية إعتقاد أن سيدنا محمد صلي الله عليه وسلم افضل من كل ملك ورسول، وأصوله وفروعه أشرف فروع وأصول، كيف لا وقد اتصلت بنسبة أنسابهم، وارتبطت بحسبه أحسابهم، فهم منه وإليه، وأقرب الناس لديه، ولا ريب في أن محبته صلي الله عليه وسلم فرض علي كل موحد، مجتهد أو مقلد، وبحسب زيادتها ونقصانها تكون زيادة الإيمان ونقصانه، ومن ادعي الإيمان بدونها فقد عظم نفاقه وبهتانه، ومن محبته عليه الصلاة والسلام محبة من اتصلوا به، ورجعت أنسابهم كآبائه وأبنائه إلي نسبه.
وقد وقع في عصرنا في القسطنطينية سنة سبع وتسعين ومائتين وألف هجرتة من قوم جهال، غرقوا من أحوال البغضاء لآل محمد في أوحال، فاخذوا يتأولون يجهلهم ما ورد من الآيات والأخبار في فضل أهل بيت النبوة، ومعدن الرسالة، مهبط الوحي، ومنبع الحكمة، ويخرجونها عن ظواهرها بأفاههم للسقيمة، وآرائهم الذميمة، ومع ذلك فقد زعموا أنهم لأهل البيت من أهل المحبة والوداد، ولم يعلموا أنهم هائمون من الخذلان في كل واد.
فجمعت هذا الكتاب من كتب الأئمة الأعلام، ونقلت فيه نموذجا من الكتاب والسنة والآثار في فضل آله عليه الصلاة والسلام، ولم أقصره علي رد تلك الأقاويل الفاسدة، لتتم به الفائدة، وسميته: الشرف المؤبد لآل محمد.
