يصنف بعض المحققين والمصنفين حقيقة "المهدي" أو ما يصطاح على تسميته عند البعض، بــ"المصلح العالمي" في آخر الزمان ضمن الحقائق المجمع على ثبوتها، وذلك على الصعيدين معاً، العالمي والوجودي. وبنو آدم –على إختلاف آرائهم وتباين توجهاتهم ووجهات نظرهم وعقائدهم وأديانهم، وتعدد مشاربهم-، لم يمنعهم ذلك كله من الإتفاق على وجود هذه الحقيقة بما هي.
وفي هذا الكتاب يسعى الأستاذ علي محمد إلى إثبات حقيقة وجود الإمام المهدي حيث يوضح لنا الحقائق الوجودية حيث يرى أن حقيقة المهدي تأبى أن ينفرد بها دينٌ من الأديان، أو مذهبٌ من المذاهب، أو طائفة من الطوائف، أو حتى نوعٌ من الأنواع أو جنسٌ من الأجناس، فلقد تعالت شمس هذه الحقيقة عن إمكانية التأطير، وتسامت لتصبح عصية على التحيَز، ولذا فإنها لم تحتسب على دين محدد أو مذهب معين، فكل الأديان والمذاهب والطوائف تنادي بهذه الحقيقة، ولو أن الأمر لم يسلم من الإختلاف في مشخصاتها ومصاديقها، مع اتفاقهم على أصل وجوهر هذه الحقيقة.
