منذ أن استوى علم المقاصد على سوقه مع الإمام إسحاق الشاطبي في كتابه "الموافقات"، حتى أضحى الفكر المقاصدي لبِنة من لبنات الفكر الإسلامي بما أنه يفتح أمام الباحثين في العلوم الشرعية أبواباً جديدة للإشتغال في مجال واسع من التفكير، ويمكنهم من قراءة جديدة ومتجددة للوحي ومن امتلاك آليات جديدة للإجتهاد الفقهي وتنزيل متجدد للأحكام على الوقائع في تغيّرها وتطورها، ومن ثم تبليغ الشرع للعالمين بلغة العصر القائمة على مركزية مفاهيم حقوق الإنسان وحاجة العالم إلى قواعد ناظمة لتدبير الكون والنظر في هذه القضايا من منطق مقاصدي يراعي مصلحة الإنسان أولاً وأخيراً.
لقد سعينا في هذه الدراسة إلى الحديث عن مسائل الإجتهاد والتجديد في الفكر المقاصدي، قاصدين المساهمة في نقل المقاصد من المدارسة إلى الممارسة، ومن الفعل إلى التفعيل، آملين في أن يعجل إسهامنا هذا بمعالجة أزمة الفكر الإسلامي، القديمة منها والحديثة، ويعين الباحثين المقاصديين على الإسراع بتقديم المنهجية المعرفية الإسلامية المناسبة، وتمهيد السبيل أمام التجديد والإجتهاد في الفكر المقاصدي بما يجعل منه ناظماً لبناء تفكير إسلامي متكامل يجمع بين قراءات الوحي المسطور وقراءات الوحي المنظور داخل الذات، ويستوي كذلك آلية من آليات المجادلة والحوار مع الآخر في القضايا التي تهم الأمة الإسلامية.
