بلغ عدد الجلسات الثقافيّة، الّتي عقدت حتّى الآن في دار "عطا عبد الوهّاب"، ثلاثاً وخمسين جلسة خلال سنة ونصف السنة، وقد شارك فيها لفيف من المثقّفين العراقيّين بدءاً من أوائل نيسان سنة 2009.
كانت كلّ جلسة من الجلسات تخصّص لحديث أحد المشاركين في موضوع يختاره، ثمّ يجري النقاش حوله من قبل الحاضرين، وبين آونة وأخرى كانت تعقد جلسة عموميّة للمناقشة في الموضوعات الّتي طرحت سابقاً؛ وقد استضافت الندوة كذلك عدداً من الشخصيّات الثقافيّة المرموقة ناهز ثمانيَ شخصيّات.
في هذا الكتاب، نصوص ما قدّمه المتكلّمون من أوراق مكتوبة، وهي تنشر بغضّ النظر عن تسلسل تواريخ إلقائها؛ ونذكر عدد من هذه الندوات؛ ففي الندوة الأولى قراءة ديوان "أعوام الرمادى" للمؤلف نفسه، في الندوة الثانية تكلم الدكتور "وليد محمود" خالص عن (النص الغائب في رواية "أولاد حارتنا") لنجيب محفوظ؛ وفي الثالثة تكلم الأستاذ "رفعت الفارسي" عن الدستور العراقي، وفي الرابعة تكلم الأستاذ "وسام الزهاوي" عن المشهد الثقافي في العراق في الخمسينيات من القرن العشرين، وفي الخامسة تكلم الأستاذ "يوسف العاني" عن المسرح العراقي منذ نشأته.
أما في السادسة تكلم الأستاذ المخرج "محمد شكري جميل" عن السينما العراقية، وفي السابعة تكلم الأستاذ "نجدة فتحي صفوة" عن الوثائق البريطانية وعلاقتها بكتابة تاريخ العراق الحديث، وفي الثامنة تكلم الأستاذ "حسين الأعظمي" عن المقام العراقي، وفي التاسعة تكلم الدكتور "إحسان البحراني" عن أمراض الشرايين والقلب، وفي العاشرة تكلم الدكتور "عبد الأمير عبود" عن الشخصية الإنسانية، إلخ....
