Book Description
الزجاج هو إبراهيم بن السري بن سهل؛ أبو إسحاق النحوي كان من اهل الدين والفضل، حسن الاعتقاد، جميل الذهب، وله مصنفات حسان في الأدب، مات في جمادى الآخرة سنة إحدى عشرة وثلاثمائة 311هـ. أما لقبه الزجاج فهو نسبة إلى صنعته فهو يقول: كنت أخرط الزجاج فاشتهيت النحو، فلزمت المبرد لتعلمه، وكان لا يعلم مجّاناً ولا يعلم بأجره إلا على قدرها.. قال فلزمته، وكنت أخدمه في أموره مع ذلك وأعطيه الدرهم، فينصحني في العلم، حتى استعللت".
ترك الزجاج مؤلفاته منها: كتاب ما فسره من جامع النطق، كتاب معاني القرآن، كتاب الاشتقاق، كتاب القوافي، كتاب العروض، كتاب الفرق، كتاب خلق الإنسان، كتاب خلق الفرس، كتاب مختصر النحو، كتاب فعلت وأفعلت، كتاب ما يتصرف وما لا ينصرف، كتاب شرح أبيات سيبويه، كتاب النواد. ويعتبر كتابه الذي بين يدي القارئ من الكتب الهامة في بابه. لذا إنه من المراجع الهامة وهو إلى هذا مدرسة المفسرين، ومحط رجال النحويين. وقد تمّ الاعتناء به فجاء في صورته هذا على أكمل وجه خالياً من التصحيف الذي كان قد لحقه، وقد أعاد المحقق ترتيبه حسب ورود الآيات في المصحف الشريف وترتيب تفسيرها على النحو المماثل ليكون الكتاب كما أراده المؤلف، إبراهيم بن السري بن سهل بالإضافة إلى ذلك عمد المحقق إلى تزييل الكتاب بما يناسب الآيات من الأحاديث والوقائع، وذلك استكمالاً للفائدة، وعوناً للقارئ على فهم معاني القرآن والعمل بها.
وهكذا تمّ الكتاب والذي يعتبر مرجعاً مهماً، لكثير من المفسرين، أمثال الزمخشري والبيضاوي، والبغوي، والقرطبي، والخازن، والبغدادي صاحب "خزانة الأدب" وابن منظور في كتابه "لسان العرب" وكذا الزبيدي، صاحب "تاج العروس" وغيرهم كثير من أئمة التفسير واللغة والنحو.
