لعل من الصعوبة رقن مقدمة لعمل يحمل إسم المخزومي، قد تكون العتبات النصية كاشفة لأعطاف ما تستضمره من رؤى ومعارف تكون أشبه بركائز معرفية يشيّد عليها ما يرومه الباثّ لسحب المتلقي على اختلاف ميوله إلى منطقة الاقتناع أو إلى حقل الحياد، إن أن محاقلة عتبات المخزومي تواجه بمصدات تصنع حواجز معنوية تقف أمام سبر تنقلات ذات توصيف ينهم بالمعرفة وحدها، لا تشفع عند المخزومي بأي مسمى آخر مهما تبارى المتبارون في وضع مثل هذا الشفع، لتغدو المعرفة الفاحصة المنبتة عن صغائر الأمور هماً وهدفاً توخاه المخزومي في كل ما سجّل وكتب ودرس وبذر في أرض المعرفة بذوراً أينعت شيوخاً وأساتذة بسطوا المعرفة التي تلقوها عن شيخهم علماً وتوهجاً ومسباراً أضاء القلوب قبل العقول، بعد هذه الأسطر القليلة نودّ أن نوضح أنها ليست مقدمة لهذا العمل بقدر ما هي محاولة لتسييقه في شكل محدد، بدءاً من رفع الألقاب العملية من أمام أسماء الباحثين المشاركين في هذا العمل لأن (الألقاب لا تذكر في حضرة المخزومي)، مروراً بالتنويه عن تأخر إصدار هذا العمل لظروف قاهرة خارجة عن إرادتنا، وانتهاء بذكر العرفان والشكر لمن شارك في إنجاز هذا العمل، يقف في المقدمة السادة الباحثون الذين اتعبناهم بكثرة إلحاحنا على سرعة إرسال أبحاثهم كي يجري تنسيقها ومراجعتها، ويقتضي العرفان أن نشكر الأستاذ حامد الراوي مستشار وزارة الثقافة لما قدمه من دعم في طباعة هذا الكتاب، والدعم الذي قدمه مريد من مريدي المخزومي الأستاذ تحسين والوزان، وخالد خليل هويدي، وننوه بالجهد المبذول من قبل السيد محمد حميد الخزرجي والآنسة شيماء خالد في إكمال هذا العمل ليرى النور، نأمل أن يكون هذا الكتاب لبنة تضاف إلى المشروع الذي بدأته كلية الآداب في الجامعة المستنصرية في نشر الأعمال ذات التوجه المعرفي الرصين جزءاً من فلسفة التنوير الملقاة على عاتقها.
