هذه سيرة رجل له على من الفضل ما لا يحصر إذ أفدت من علمه وتجاربه ونصحه المثمر وكان في ذلك عزوفاً عن الدنيا أبياً عن أن أعوضه شيئاً من دنياي المادية مقابل ما نلته منه لصلاح دنياي الروحية من علمية ودينية، حريصاً على أن يكون كل ما يمنحه من علومه خالصاً لوجه الله تعالى لا يرجو فيه الجزاء إلا من ربه الأعلى ولسوف يرضى، وقد قسمت هذه السيرة إلى ثمانية فصول: (الفصل الأول: في سرد تاريخ حياته من المولد إلى الوفاة، الفصل الثاني: ذكر أهم الأحداث في حياته على ترتيبها الزمني، الفصل الثالث: وصفه وصفاً دقيقاً، الفصل الرابع: قصيدتي فيه وهي 75 بيتاً مع شرحها، الفصل الخامس: في بيان مؤلفاته وتقدماته وتعاليقه ومقالاته، الفصل السادس: في أمور خاصة بينه وبيني، الفصل السابع: بيانبعض شيوخه وبعض مأثور كلامه من منظوم ومنثور، الفصل الثامن: تلامذته مرتبة أسماء من تعيه الذاكرة منهم على حرف المعجم).
وليس من عاداتي أن أكيل المدح جزافاً كما أني اطبع هذه الترجمة ولا يزال عارفو الرجل والناهلون من فضله أحياء يرزقون- ولذلك أقرر أن كل ما سيرد في هذه الترجمة هو دون حقيقة فضائل الرجل ومناقبه- ومهما يتوهم الجاهل أو الحاسد فيها من الغلو والمبالغة فإن العارف المنصف سيرى فيها قصوراً وتقصيراً.
