-ولد عام 1927 بمحافظة البحيرة بمصر.
حصل على ليسانس دار العلوم 1953 ودبلوم معهد التربية 1954 والماجستير 1961 والدكتوراه بمرتبة الشرف 1969.
-عمل في وزارتي التربية, والإرشاد والثقافة ثم في جامعات السودان والقاهرة والكويت والإمارات.
-عمل مديراً ورئيساً للتحرير لعدد من المجلات الأدبية.
-عضو في اتحاد الأدباء, ورابطة الأدب الحديث, ولجنتي الشعر والنثر بالمجلس الأعلى للفنون والآداب.
- له عشرات الدراسات في المجلات العربية المتخصصة .

Book Description
يتكون هذا القصيد السيمفوني من خمس حركات: الحركة الأولى: تضم مقدمة تلخص الفرح المنتظر للعالم، كما تقدم الإحساس بتداعي الحضارات القديمة، والانتظار لشيء جديد. الحركة الثانية: تقدم الحياة في مكة، والتصدع الذي أصابها من الداخل ومن الخارج، وكيف أنه بميلاد النبي يكون النذير لا بترميم المجتمع المتداعي، ولكن بخلقه من جديد.. بميلاده من جديد! الحركة الثالثة: تدور حول تلك الحياة التي عاشها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في مكة، وكيف تلقي رسالته، ثم كيف يهاجر لا هرباً، ولكن لتكون رسالته في متناول الحياة..
الحركة الرابعة: تقدم هذه الحياة الجديدة في المدينة، وكيف أنه تولد داخل هذه الحياة الجديدة كل آمال الإنسان في الحرية، وفي الحياة الكريمة. أما الحركة الخامسة والأخيرة، فتصور فتح مكة-وبعبارة أخرى فتح الحياة-وكيف أصبح الإسلام رسالة جديدة متكاملة تأخذ طريقها بعمق في الرحلة المستمرة للزمان والمكان.. فبرحيل النبي لا يرحل الإسلام، وإنما يأخذ طريقه إلى عدد من المعاقل، لعل في مقدمتها جميعاُ قلب الإنسان.. وعقل الإنسان.
