عمل الدكتور حامد عبد السلام زهران - رحمهُ الله - أستاذاً للصحة النفسية بكلية التربية جامعة عين شمس بمصر. حصل الدكتور حامد على دكتوراه الفلسفة في علم النفس من جامعة لندن عام 1966، وشغل عدة مناصب منها:
- عميد كلية التربية بجامعة عين شمس من 1993 إلى 1996
- وكيل كلية التربية بجامعة عين شمس للدراسات العليا والبحوث من 1990 إلى 1993
- رئيس قسم الصحة النفسية بكلية التربية من 1981 إلى 1987
- مدير العيادة الن عمل الدكتور حامد عبد السلام زهران - رحمهُ الله - أستاذاً للصحة النفسية بكلية التربية جامعة عين شمس بمصر. حصل الدكتور حامد على دكتوراه الفلسفة في علم النفس من جامعة لندن عام 1966، وشغل عدة مناصب منها:
- عميد كلية التربية بجامعة عين شمس من 1993 إلى 1996
- وكيل كلية التربية بجامعة عين شمس للدراسات العليا والبحوث من 1990 إلى 1993
- رئيس قسم الصحة النفسية بكلية التربية من 1981 إلى 1987
- مدير العيادة النفسية بجامعة عين شمس من 1981 إلى 1987
- معالج نفسي ومرشد منذ عام 1966 حتى وفاته عام 2008.
كما كان أستاذاً زائراً بكلية بوسطن بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عام 1982 وبكلية التربية جامعة الملك فيصل عام 1989 وأستاذاً معاراً بكلية التربية بجامعة الملك عبد العزيز من 1974 إلى 1977. وكان عضواً في عدد من الهيئات منها:
- اللجان العلمية الدائمة للتربية وعلم النفس بالمجلس الأعلى للجامعات
- لجنة التربية وعلم النفس بأكاديمية البحث العلمي والتكنولوجيا من 1990 إلى 2008.
- مجلس إدارة الجمعية العلمية الإسلامية للصحة النفسية
- المجالس القومية المتخصصة
- المجلس الأعلى للثقافة
- الجمعية العامة للدفاع الاجتماعي
- الجمعية المصرية لرعاية الفئات الخاصة
