والتورية هي إحدى الفنون البلاغية التي تحتاج إلى إعادة النظر في شواهدها وأقسامها، والتأمل في تعريفها وموقف البلاغيين منها، فقد ظلت شواهدها تتكرر، وما يقال فيها يُعاد، حتى عُدّت كسقْطِ المتاع، وهذه الدراسة هي محاولة لقراءة التورية في ضوء المعطيات الحديثة، لعل ذلك يفتح للباحث شيئاً من كنه أسرارها، وبديع أغوارها.
