فالقراءة والتعود عليها، تكسب الفرد القدرة على التفكير السليم، والقدرة على التخيل والإبداع، كما تحقق له التسلية والمتعة، وتكسبه حصيلة لغوية كبيرة، وتجعله يتحدث بطلاقة وبثقة، وترفع مستوى الفهم لديه، وتساعده على بناء نفسه، وتعطيه القدرة على حل المشكلات التي تواجهه.
