وقد راعى المؤلف ما ينبغي أن يراعى في هذا التأليف المدرسي، من حيث وضوح الفكرة، وحسن العرض، وسلاسة الأسلوب، وجودة التقسيم والتبويب، وتوثيقه بالأدلة العقلية والشرعية، ووضع العناوين الجانبية المعينة على حسن الفهم، وختم كل درس بأسئلة مناسبة له، بل أضاف إلى ذلك ذكر توجيهات نافعة للمدرسين، وهي ثمرة معرفة وخبرة وتجربة ولا شك.
كما اهتم المؤلف الكريم ببيان آثار العقائد الإسلامية في النفس والحياة، أو في الفرد والمجتمع، مثل آثار التوحيد، والإيمان بالآخرة، والإيمان بالقدر وغيرها، كما بدأ كتابه ببيان أوجه الحاجة إلى العقيدة.
وقد أحسن المؤلف-سدده الله-حين جعل عمدته ومرتكزه الأول: القرآن الكريم، لأن أسس العقائد ثابتة بالقرآن، فلا تكاد تخلو صفحة من الكتاب إلا وفيها آية أو أكثر، ثم ما لا بد منه من صحاح الأحاديث وحسانها، بما يزيد الأمر وضوحاً.
