هذا الكتاب هو خلاصة تجربة علمية شاقة وجميلة استغرقت مني جهد كبير في التجهيز والإعداد ، ثم المتابعة والعمل الدؤوب ثم التعديل والتنسيق ثم المراجعة والتنقيح لمرات عديدة ...أما محتوى هذا الكتاب فينقسم إلى قسمين هما مقدمة الحاسب ونظام التشغيل Windows XP أما المقدمة فتنقسم إلى جزأين الأول يتم فيه التعريف بمكونات الحاسب والتقسيم إلى Hardware&Software ، وكذلك أنواع الحاسبات واستخدامات الحاسب وخاصة في الأعمال والتجارة مع عرض لوحدات الإدخال والإخراج. أما الجزء الثاني فيعرض فكرة عمل الحاسب مع استعراض وحدات قياس السعة كذلك أنواع الاسطوانات الشائعة ، وأنواع الطابعات الشائعة ، والشبكات : أهميتها وأنواعها وتركيبها مع مراجعة كاملة والإجابة على أسئلة المتدربين .أما القسم الثاني فيه أربع جلسات ، الأولى وفيها الأساسيات وتضم عدة عناصر منها تاريخ نظام التشغيل ، والخروج Turn Off والتبديل بين المستخدمين واستعمال الفأرة بالزر الأيسر والزر الأيمن والتحكم في النوافذ ومكوناتها ، والجلسة الثانية بعنوان جهاز الكمبيوتر وتضم التعامل مع مشغلات الاسطوانات ، والتعامل مع المجلدات والتحكم بها والتعامل مع الملفات واستخدام الاخنصارات مع مراجعة عامة لهذه الجلسة في صورة أسئلة بدون إجابات . والجلسة الثالثة بعنوان سطح المكتب ومواضيعها : مهارات التعامل مع سطح المكتب ومع شريط المهام ، والتعامل مع قائمة إبدأ ، واستعادة النظام.والجلسة الرابعة بعنوان الملحقات وتضم خمسةة عناصر: هي استخدام برنامج الدفتر Wordpad ، واستخدام برنامج الرسام ، واستخدام برنامج مشغل الوسائط Media Player ، وتعريف طابعة جديدة لنظام التشغيل Add Printer مع مراجعة عامة لهذه الجلسة بصورة أسئلة بدون إجابات .
