ثمة إشارات رمزية عديدة يتوقف عندها القارىء في النصوص التي يكتبها الشاعر العراقي عدنان محسن في منجزه الشعري "أكثر من صوت لحنجرة واحدة" إنها نصوص شعرية تفيض بالمعنى ولا تكاد تميل مع الدلالة إلا بمقتضيات الكتابة الشعرية نفسها، ومع هذا تستمد نصوصه هذا الشكل الفني من أفق التطابق اللغوي الذي تتناثر فيه المعاني وتتواتر الألفاظ كي تفعل فعلها الجمالي في النص المكتوب.
تحت عنوان "الشعر" نقرأ قصيدة للشاعر عدنان محسن:
"أكتب لسبب بسيط/ كي يعرف الأصدقاء/ إنني ما زلت على قيد الحياة/ ولي أوهام/ ما زالت هي الأخرى على قيدي/ وكلّ ما أريده حياتي/ أن أكتب سطرين أو أكثر/ أضعهما فوق قبري/ وعندما يأتي القادمون إلى المقبرة/ ويرون الشاهدة/ سيقول من لا يعرفني: هنا يرقد الشاعر".
لا يختلف النص الشعري الذي يكتبه الشاعر عدنان محسن عن التجربة الذاتية، وليس لأن النص يتطلب، أحياناً، مفارقة التجربة تفادياً لتكرار التجربة نفسها أو نسخها، بل، لأن مبرر الكتابة، المتصل بالتجربة، لديه هو جماليات التجديد، والمغايرة، بمعنى أن يقترح شكلاً مختلفاً، ليس للتجربة فحسب، بل للحياة، وللكتابة.
يضم الكتاب قصائد في الشعر العربي الحديث، بالإضافة إلى شعر الومضة، نذكر من العناوين: "مصير" ، "الكلام" ، "الشعر" ، "الشعراء" ، "وقاحة" ، "إختزال" ، "فرق" ، "دروس" ، "حروب دائمة" ، "بائعة الأحلام" (...) وقصائد أخرى.
