شخصيّاتٌ تدور بعبثيّة حول بطلٍ واحدٍ وحيد هو الصدفة. الصدفة التي تقف بالمرصاد لرجلٍ يعاني خوفاً مرضيّاً من الموت، لأختين بعّدهما الجفاء طوال عمرٍ ولن يكون الحبّ ما سيجمعهما في النهاية، ولصديقين حميمين ملتصقَين بما يكفي، وبما يقلّ، لتتسلّل بينهما الخيانة.
هذه الرواية المحمّلة بالكوابيس فاصلٌ مكثّف من حيواتٍ يلهو بها القدر وشخصيّاتٍ محكومةٍ بتبعات أفعالٍ عبثيّة...
