تحدثت المادبة الحمراء في تسلسل أحداثها عن مجتمع يوناني ومدن يونانية بأماكن أثرية في اليونان بشخصيات وما إلى ذلك ولكن كما ذكرت الصحف التي شهدت حفل الإطلاق وتصريح الروائي محمد ابوزياد حيث اكدت انه قد كشف أول الغاز روايته بعد أن ذكر واقعة إحدى الجرائم وقارنها بالواقع الفلسطيني وقال "انا لم ازر اليونان في حياتي ولكني تركت لكم فرصة مقارنة الواقع الفلسطيني بما ذكرته من جرائم في روايتي
يمزج الكاتب أبوزياد بين الواقعين اليوناني والفلسطيني ويحاكي في شخصيات روايته قوة الروح الخيرة القادرة على إعادة التوازن لدى الحياة والمجتمع الغير سوي. ويقول العديد من الكتاب والناقدين أن المادبة الحمراء قد تكون عامل مساعد في تنمية قدرة الفرد على التحليل.
