بدقة بالغة وحساسية مفرطة، يتعامل الشاعر إبراهيم البهرزي مع المفردة، والمفردة التي تتجاوز-لديه-إطارها الشكلي إلى الدلالة/المعنى. ولذلك فإن احتفاءها بالكلمة لا يتعدى مجرد دورها الوعائي التوصيلي لما يختمر في ذات/ذهن الإنسان. فلا تكاد تجد في شعره كلمة أو حرفاً زائداً لا يقود اختزاله إلى خلل أو إعطاب هرمية الفكرة. وثمة.. فإن فهم شعرية البهرزي لا بدّ أن تمر عبر سؤال:-أيّهما أولى في التكوين الشعري... الكلمة أم الفكرة؟...
لأن شعرية البهرزي تعتمد الرؤية، رؤيته تعتمد الفلسفة، وفلسفته تشتغل على الهم الإنساني في عصوره وعصاراته منذ بدء الخليقة حتى آخر لحظة كونية في الزمن البهرزي وقصائده وعصاراته منذ بدء الخليقة حتى آخر لحظة كونية في الزمن البهرزي. وقصائده ليست اشتغالاً على اللغة-العكس صحيح أيضاً-وإنما معالجة ذهنية نفسية وجودية لمفردة الإنسان/الكائن إزاء قوى الطبيعة التي تفيض من وجوده وتسلبه شذر إنسانيته. فالتاريخ البشري إنما هو تاريخ الاستلاب الإنساني، والحضارات المتوالية وقيام الامبارطوريات إنما هي وثائق وقيمة وثبوتية على استراتيجية الاختزال ومسلسل هدم كيان الإنسان، منذ عصور آلهة بابل وأثينا حتى آلهة التكنولوجيا وحرب النجوم.
و"صفير الجوال آخر الليل" جولة مضنية في دروب الأسى والمأساة التي شدت من قبضة حصارها على أعتاب ألفية جديدة ليس في وجه الإنسان العراقي فحسب، وإنما الكائن الإنساني في كل مكان من العالم، والهم لدى إبراهيم البهرزي، ليس الحصول على عشبه الخلود الجلجا مشية، وإنما إعادة الإنسان إلى إنسانيته أو إعادة الإنسانية إلى الإنسان، من خلال الانتصار على الخرافة والوهم!...
