وقد قامت محكمة النقض بأداء رسالتها منذ إنشائها وحتى الآن ولم تدخر وسعاً في تحقيق الأمال التى علقت عليها فى تقعيد القواعد وجلاء الغامض وتمييز الراجح من المرجوح ورفع خلاف طالما أرهق رجال القانون واضطربت فيه أحكام القضاء فيسرت بذلك للأفهام معانى القانون وهى لاتألو جهداً فى العمل على استقرار ما وضعت من قواعد إيمانا منها بأنه من الخير أن لاينقض الاجتهاد بمثله.
ولما كانت مسائل الأحوال الشخصية قد زادت اهميتها فى الأونه الأخيرة، أثرت أن أجمع بين دفتى كتاب واحد مجموعة القواعد القانونية التى قررتها محكمة النقض فى هذا الشأن منذ انشائها 1931 وحتى عام 2005 لتكون خير معين لرجل القانون.
