في هذا الكتاب يتبنى "عدنان محمد العربي" قراءة مغايرة للواقع السياسي في الدول العربية، تبتعد عن الخطاب الأيديولوجي السائد، وبنفس الوقت لا تنتمي إلى أي تيار سياسي في هذه الأمة، تتولد عن إدراكه بأن الهجمة في نهاية المطاف، ستطال الجميع بشكل أو بآخر.
وفي هذا العمل يحذر الكاتب من خطر التوسع الصهيوني في المنطقة العربية معتبراً أن احتلال العراق، ونتائجه الراهنة والمتوقعة على المدى الزمني القريب، يشكل عاملاً محورياً وأساسياً لنجاح المخطط المتكامل في عموم المنطقة، من هنا وجب إستدراك الخطر قبل استفحاله لإنه سيكون مقدمة ضرورية لإفشال المشروع التوسعي برمته. يقول الكاتب: "نحذر من الخطر الفعلي الراهن على أرض العراق تحديداً، ونؤكد في الوقت ذاته على أنه خطر ما زال بالإمكان التصدي له وإبطال مفاعليه بشرط أن تتسلح القوى، التي ترشح نفسها للتصدي، بآليات الإنتصار الحقيقي من وعي سياسي معمق وتقيين موضوعي لطبيعة الهجمة، اقتصادياً وسياسياً، واجتماعياً وعسكرياً، وتوفير الإمكانات الضرورية والكافية لهذا التصدي، وتوحيد الجهود المبذولة على كل الصعد والجبهات".
ما يريد أن يقوله الكاتب أنه يجب عدم الإستهانة بمخططات الحركة الصهيونية حول تحقيق حلم إسرائيل الكبرى، معتبراً أن احتلال العراق هو مقدمة لإنشاء استيطان يهودي آخر في المنطقة، حتى أنه يشكك بنظرية المؤامرة قائلاً: ".. فلو راجعنا معظم الوثائق والتسريبات والدراسات السياسية والتحاليل العسكرية والإستراتيجية، التي تشير إلى فشل الولايات المتحدة في حربها على العراق واستحالة انتصارها في أفغانستان، لوجدنا أن مصدرها الرئيسي مؤسسات فكرية ومراكز أبحاث مرتبطة بشكل أو بآخر باللوبي الصهيوني".
