ومما يزيد من أهمية الكتاب أنه يعطي دراسة مفصلة عن موضوعين: الموضوع الأول وهو الربا في القرآن والحديث والفقه, أما الموضوع الثاني: فهو عن المضاربة والشركة وشركة المساهمة. مما ينبغي ذكره عن هذا الكتاب أنه كتب أولاً باللغة الإنجليزية وقرأ مسودته الأولى بعض الخبراء الغربيين، ومنهم الأستاذ فولكر نينهاوس والدكتورة تروت ووهلرز شارف والدكتور هـ. الباخ. وقد ذكر مؤلف هذا الكتاب أنه استفاد من ملاحظات هؤلاء الأساتذة ومن ملاحظات أساتذة آخرين. في التعريف بهذا الكتاب ينبغي أن نذكر أنه كتاب متميز في النقود في الإسلام، وأنه أثبت أن الإسلام يقدم النظام النقدي العادل.
