في المنهج الاستقرائى أو التجريبى يضع الباحث فروضا متعددة لكى يستنبط منها النتائج، ثم يتحقق من صدق هذه النتائج بالبرهان. إما بالرياضة وإما بالملاحظة والتجربة، أو باى طريقة من طرق الاستقراء. وهذا بخلاف المنطق القديم أو منهج البحق القديم فمنطق أرسطو، أو المنطق اليونانى، فإنه قد ثبت بآراء كثير من العلماء القدامى والمعاصرين انه منطق عقيم. وهذا البحث يتناول أولا المقارنة بين منهج البحث القديم وبين المنطق اليونانى او المنطق الأرسطى، او منطق الفلاسفة من قبل أرسطو، وبين المنطق الحديث، منطق الاستقراء والملاحظة والتجربة فى عصرنا الحاضر. ومن خلال هذه المقارنة تظهر عيوب المنطق القديم اليونانى، وتظهر مميزات المنطق الحديث منطق الاستقراء والتجارب.. وعلى هذا الاساس قد تناولنا موقف الاسلام من كل منهما.
