ستظل مصر أبد الآبدين مقبرة لكل من تسوّل له نفسه الكيد بها ، وسيظل شعبها وجيشها خير أجناد الأرض لا يخافون من عاداهم و يفتدون بلادهم و أولادهم بدمائهم وأرواحهم..
هذا الكتاب صفحات مضيئة من حياة قائد عسكري لم يعرف إلا الحق فكان ناصراً له؛ فعندما قامت ثورة 23يوليو 1952 كان ضابطا برتبة "صاغ" في الحرس الملكي، وكان والده قائداً للحرس الملكي، وعندما رحل الملك فاروق خارج البلاد قدم نفسه لقادة الثورة ليضع نفسه تحت أمر مصر وقيادتها الجديدة..
ولقد تدرج في المناصب العسكرية حتى أصبح وزيرا للحربية والقائد العام للقوات المسلحة بعد أحداث مايو 1971.. ولقد كانت حياته كلها صراعات من أجل مصر ومن أجل الحق ونصرته ؛ فقد اصطدم بكثير من القيادات : الفريق أول محمد فوزي، الفريق سعد الشاذلي ، المشير أحمد إسماعيل، الفريق الليثي ناصف ، ممدوح سالم ، عزيز صدقي، حتى الرئيس السادات اصطدم به صداما عنيفاً.. وكذلك بالمارشال جريتشكو وزير الدفاع الروسي الذي أعلن أمام السادات والسفير المصري أنه قادم إلى مصر "لتكسير أسنان وزير الحربية صادق" ! حتى الزعيم الروسي بريجينيف حرض السادات ضده قائلاً: "من يحكم مصر: السادات أم صادق ؟" فلماذا كل هذه الصدامات ...؟؟ هذا ما نتركه للقارئ الكريم ليتعرف علي تفاصيلـه بنفســه .. وعلى سيرة قائد عسكري لم يخش في الله لومـة لائــم.. رحم الله الفريق أول محمد أحمد صادق وجميع شهدائنا وقادتنا الذين ارتوت مصر بدمائهم حتى تظل الكرامة مرفوعة وينعم أبناء مصر بترابها حراً طاهراً زكياً ..
