إن رسالة الشيخ عبد الله بن الحسين بن طاهر بن محمد بن هاشم باعاوى طيب الله ثراه وجعل الجنة مأواه لما علق بها من الوفود وكانت محتاجة إلى بيان المقصود وحوت مع صغر حجم وحسن الإختصار مالم يحوه كثير من الكتب الكبار أمرنى بعض الأعزة على أن أشرحها شرحاً وجيزاً سلساً لاعويصاً ولا شرساً فإمتثلت أمره وأنى لست من هذا القبيل ولا أستطيع ان أسلك إلا بتوفيق الله تعالى هذا السبيل و إنما رجائى فى الدخول تحت قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم (كل معروف صدق والدال على الخير كفاعله والله يحب إغاثة اللهفان) وقوله تعالى (ومن قدر رزقه فلينفق مما أتاه الله) وقصدى التبرك بالعلماء بالأخذ من اقوالهم الفواضل فإن من عرض جسده للمطر أصابه طل أن لم يصبه وابل لقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم (إنما الأعمال بالنيات) وسميته (مرقاة صعود التصديق فى شرح سلم التوفيق إلى محبة الله على التحقيق)
