لعل من المسائل الشائكة، والتي لها حساسية خاصة في حياة الناس هو ما يتعلق بالجنس، فقد تعود الناس أن يعالجوا هذا الأمر بالكتمان والتغطية عليه، واعتباره أمراً لا يجوز الحديث عنه أو الخوض فيه لما فيه من خدش الحياء ومنافاة الأدب العام، وأود أن أقول: إن هذا لم يكن هو السائد في ثقافتنا الإسلامية فالفقهاء يعرضون لهذه الأمور في كتاب الطهارة في نواقض الوضوء وموجبات الغسل، والحيض والنفاس والاستحاضة ويتعرضون لها في فقه الأسرة: في حقوق الزوجية، وفي العيوب التي يفسخ بها النكاح وفي غير ذلك من الأبواب. كما يتعرض لها المفسرون في تفسير آيات القرآن، كما في عدة آيات في سورة البقرة، ويعرض لها المحدثون في شرح الأحاديث الصحيحة الكثيرة التي تتعلق بهذا المجال. وكانت هذه الأشياء معروفة في المجتمع وتمضي بيسر وسهولة دون أن يشعر أحد بحرج منها.
وقد عرضت في هذا الكتاب نماذج لأهم المشاكل الجنسية بين المتزوجين، وحلولها في جو من الجدية والموضوعية بعيداً عن الإثارة والفتنة وما عرضته هي مسائل ومشاكل حقيقية، أفسد الجهل بها كثيراً من البيوت، وحرم الجهل بها كثيراً من المتعة الحلال، وصير العلاقة بين الزوجين لا سلم ولا حرب.
