من أهم استخدامات القوائم المالية، بالإضافة إلى صياغة العقود، هو التحليل المالي بغرض تقييم مركز الشركة من حيث الربحية والسيولة واليسر المالي وغيرها من المقاييس التي تهم المستثمرين والدائنين، ولذلك فإن المؤلف يتعرض لكيفية تحليل القوائم المالية، وذلك لاتخاذ قرارات الاستثمار المختلفة.
ولتحقيق هذا الغرض، فقد قسم هذا المؤلف إلى قسمين: القسم الأول يتعرض لكيفية إعداد القوائم المالية وفقاً لأحدث المعايير المحاسبية وفي ضوء الإطار المفاهيمي للمحاسبة الذي تم صياغته بواسطة الجهات المحاسبية المهنية والذي يهدف إلى إرشاد المحاسبين عند إعداد القوائم المالية، وكذلك عند إصدار المعايير المحاسبية. أما القسم الثاني من المؤلف، فإنه يتعرض لموضوع التحليل المالي ودور المعلومات المحاسبية في تقييم أسهم الشركة وتحديد درجة المخاطرة لهذه الأسهم، وكذلك في صياغة الحوافز وشروط المديونية بواسطة الأطراف المختلفة. وقد بين القسم الثاني من المؤلف كيفية دراسة والحكم على موقف الشركة من ناحية الربحية والنشاط والسيولة واليسر المالي كما يبين كيفية إستخدام البيانات في القوائم المالية وتحويلها إلى نسب مئوية حتى يتم مقارنتها مع نسب الصناعة أو على مدار الزمن للوقوف على مركز الشركة الإئتماني. ويهم هذا المؤلف قطاع كبير من المهتمين بالقوائم المالية من مستثمرين ودائنين وبنوك، وغيرهم.
