Book Description
يتألق في هذا الكتاب الجماعي الوثائقي قصة الحضور المسيحي في العراق، وتاريخ محتويات مكتبة دير الموصل، حيث تتم الكتب والمخطوطات على جهود الإخوة الدومنيكان العمارة في إكتشاف التراث المحلي المكتوب في المحافظة عليه.
يبلغ عدد المخطوطات 1100 مخطّوطة، وتعود إلى القرن الثالث عشر، وهي تعطي المرحلة الممتدة إلى بدايات القرن العشرين، وتلفت النظر بتنوعها، إذ تحتوى مخطوطات عربية، وسردانية، وكلدانية، ومخطوطات بلغة المورث، كما تتنوع موضوعاتها المختلفة الطقسية الأدبية والموسيقية والآخروية واللغوية...
لقد نُقل ما تم إنقاذه من هذه المخطوطات بعد إحتلال داعش مدينة الموصل، إلى قرة قوش، ثم إلى أربيل حيث رممت وتم ترقيمها معلوماتياً في المركز الرقمي للمخطوطات الشرقية.
من هذه المعرفة التي أنقذت من التدمير، كتاب في قواعد اللغة العربية، وكتاب صلوات مزخرف من القرن التاسع عشر، وكتاب طقوس كلداني من القرن الثامن عشر؛ وبعبارة أخرى، نحن امام ترجمة ملموسة "للإشعاع الثقافي" والفني الذي شهده العراق في العصور الوسطى والحديثة، وتجسد الإصدار الكتب المؤلفة في بغداد والموصل، والتي جمعت كتاباً مسلمين، ونتاجاً ومؤلفين مسيحيين، عما يميز فراده بلاد ما بين النهرين.
إنطلاقاً من عراقة هذه المخطوطات، فقد صدر هذا الكتاب بالفرنسية منه 2015 وسيصدر بالإنكليزية قريباً، وهذه هي ترجمته العربية المميزة كالعهد بترجمة الدكتور علي نجيب إبراهيم والأب بتق.
