الحضارة العربية الإسلامية كانت القوة الدافعة لحضارة البشرية منذ عصر التأليف اللغوي الذي صاحب انتشار الإسلام واتساع رقعته، وعلى مؤتمراتها القوية، والمتعددة قامت الحضارة الأوربية الحديثة، ولما كانت العربية أداة التعبير عن هذه الحضارة كان لا بد من دراسة كتابة هذه اللغة لصلتها الوثيقة، وتطورها، وما حظيت به الكتابة والخط العربي من اهتمام وتطور في ظل هذه الحضارة بدافع المحافظة على كتاب الله وسنة رسوله "صلى الله عليه وسلم" من اللحن والخطأ.
كما إن من أهم العوامل التي ساعدت على نشأة الحضارة العربية الإسلامية وتطورها تدوين القرآن الكريم، فهو دستور المسلمين الخالد الذي حفظ من التحريف والتبديل والزيادة والنقصان، وهو الذي ضمن استمرار التشريعات التي شرعها الله لعباده في كل نواحي الحياة، والذي أفردت له فصلًا في هذه الدراسة.
كذلك قمت بإبراز دور الخطاطون الأوائل في حفظ الخط العربي، وقمت بتجميع ما لدي من دراسات في هذا المجال.
وبعد؛ فهذه محاولة مخلصة بكل جهد في دراسة الخط العربي الإسلامي، الذي عشقته منذ إن كنت معلمًا وموجهًا لمادة التربية الفنية في التعليم العام، أرجو من الله العلي القدير أن أكون قد وفقت فيه.
