في الجزء الرابع من الكتاب، سينفتح أمامنا طريق لعالم أفضل، يستطيع الغرب أن يقود العالم من خلال الثورة العالمية القادمة، ثورة تشابه بأهميتها نهاية تجارة الرقيق وتحرير المستعمرات من الإمبراطوريات، والبدء بهذه الثورة سيجعلنا أكثر أماناً في بلداننا، وأكثر ثقة خارجها، وأكثر قدرة على حل المشاكل العالمية مثل التغيرات المناخية.
مع نهاية الكتاب، سنكون قادرين على رؤية مكاننا في تاريخ التقدم البشري، بنظرة أوضح على إمكانية وكيفية خلق إنسانية أكثر إتحاداً، مستعدة لمواجهة تحديات مستقبلها.
