تعد هذه الرواية "لعائشة تيمور" نموذجًا للروايات التي تأثرت بأشكال التراث الشعبي وبخاصة ألف ليلة وليلة، رغم تأثرها من ناحية الأسلوب بالتراث العربي القديم فهي في تعبيرها تقيدت بالسجع إلى حد كبير، بدا ذلك بوضوح في عنوان الرواية كذلك تأثرت عائشة في موضوعها بألف ليلة وليلة والجدير بالاهتمام هنا أن عائشة قد تأثرت بشكل كبير بأبطال حكايات ألف ليلة وليلة فالرواية تتضمن حكاية إطارًا وداخلها حكايات فرعية تراث ممتد في "ألف ليلة وليلة/ كليلة ودمنة" ولكن عبر حكاياتها ذات الطابع الديني التعليمي، فنشأة عائشة الدينية كان لها أكبر الأثر في هذا التوجه وفي هذه الرواية نرى إلى أي حد مثلت الروايات التي تأثرت بالأدب الشعبي.
وتمثل هذه الرواية نتائج الأحوال في الأقوال والأفعال أول رواية نسائية تخرج بهذا الوعي من زمن الحكي إلى زمن الكتابة وتصبح عائشة تيمور أول رائدة لفن الرواية النسائية في عالمنا العربي.
