الاطلالة التي يطالع بها الكاتب قارنه في هذه الفترة المفصلية التي تمر بها البلاد، تؤكد الدور التنويري الذي يلعبه الكاتب الدرامي المتمرس وحيد حامد، حيث يضع الاحداث تحت مجهره محدقاً في اسبابها ونتائجها، ومحذراً من الاخطار المحدقة بها، وكأنما يحيط ثورة الخامس والعشرين من يناير بقوسيين فكريين يؤطران خطها البياني صعوداً وهبوطاً، فـــ (جمهورية عساكر) وهو القسم الاول في الكتاب، كتبت فصوله قبل الثورة، بينما كتبت فصول (ثورة الكبش، القسم الثاني فيه) بعدها، غير أن الرؤية الفكرية التي تنتظم القسمين معاً لا تختلف الا باختلاف المقدمات والنتائج، وكانما جمهورية عساكر - لاحظ دلالات العنوان - هي النفق الطويل المظلم الذي سيؤدي بالضرورة غلى تلك الاضاءات المترامية التي ستفرشها على الطرقات ثورة الكبش، غير ان هذه الثورة محاطة - كطبيعة الثورات - بالسارقين المتربصين بها والحوامين حولها، للالتفاف والاقتناص والخطف، لكن الكاتب البارع وحيد حامد والذي يملك عيني زرقاء اليمامة ووعيها، يرى ويدون ويطلق التحذيرات، علناً ننتبه.
