أصبحت "مجموعة الرابطة القلمية" كتاباً نادر الوجود، فهي لم تطبع غير مرة واحدة، وذلك في نيويورك ومنذ ما يقارب نصف القرن والحاجة إليها تزداد عاماً بعد عام بإزدياد القرّاء والباحثين الذين يستهويهم أن يتتبّعوا نشأة الثورة الأدبية المهجرية وتطوّرها على أيدي حفنة من الرجال، أمثال: جبران ونعيمه وعريضه وأبو ماضي ورفاقهم.
تضمُّ هذه المجموعة طائفة مختارة من كتابات أعضاء "الرابطة القلمية" حتى سنة 1921، وقد آثرنا، أمانةٌ منّا لتاريخ الأدب، أن لا نصحّح فيها حرفاً أو كلمةٌ، إلا ما كان لا يقبل الشكّ في أنه خطأ مطبعي.
ونكاد نجزم بأن أصحاب الآثار المدرجة في هذه المجموعة لو قُدّر لهم، مثلما قُدّر لميخائيل نعيمه، أن يكونوا اليوم أحياء، وأن يعيدوا النظر في آثارهم تلك لعدّلوا فيها وبدّلوا أكثر من كلمة وعبارة.
وذلك ما فعله ميخائيل نعيمه، إلى حدّ ما، في آثاره المنشورة في المجموعة عندما نُشرت بعد سنين في بيروت، ولا عجب، فلغة الكاتب وأسلوبه لا بدّ أن يتطوَّرا لأنه يتطوّر.
