يجمع المؤلف بين طيات هذا الكتاب تعاليق لطيفة كان قد عثر عليها في كتب العلماء، الأجلاء فذكر فيه خواص البسملة ومنافعها، خواص آية الكرسي ومنافعها، خواص سورة يس ومنافعها، خواص سورة الملك والواقعة ومنافعها، خواص سورة القدر ومنافعها، خواص سورتي الانشراح والفيل، خواص سورة العصر والهمزة وقريش والكوثر، خواص سورة الإخلاص والمعوذتين، فوائد تتعلق بالصلاة على النبي وذكر شيء مما يدل على فضلها، فوائد تتعلق بالأعداء والظلمة.
ذكر شيء مما يتعلق باسم لطيف، ذكر خواص للفظ الجلالة، وخواص بعض أسمائه تعالى، وفي بيان الأشكال السبعة، في ذكر أدعية تقال في الصباح والمساء وفي النهار وفي فوائد تتعلق بحفظ الإيمان، وفي ذكر وعاء أول السنة وآخرها، ودعاء عاشوراء وغير ذلك، فيما يتعلق بالاستخارة وبالسفر والبر والبحر والأمن فيه والرجوع منه بالسلامة، فيما يتعلق بالعين والنظرة في فوائد تتعلق بالصداع والضارب، والشقيقة والمزق والرمد، ووجع الرأس وغير ذلك، في ذكر فوائد تتعلق بالحمى، في ذكر حجب نافعة، وفي ذكر فوائد تتعلق بالقرنية ولمنع إسقاط الجنين.
فيما يتعلق بالريح الحمر والداء الأكبر، في منافع عود الصليب وحبة الملوك، في فوائد تتعلق بحل المربوط عن النساء، في فوائد تتعلق بالمرأة المتعسرة في الولادة، والمرأى المعتوقة من زوجها، والبنت البائر والمزال بكارتها، وهل العاقة في الحبل من الرجل أو المرأة؟ وهل هي حبلى أم لا؟ وهل الحمل ذكر أو أنثى؟ وفي ترويج السلعة وغير ذلك.
وفيما ينفع لطرد البق، والبرغوت، والنمل والفأر، والجراد وغير ذلك عن الزرع، فيما ينفع لجلب الحمام والسمك، ولإخراج البرغوث إذا دخل في الإذن، في إمساك النار، وإدخال البيضة في القمقم، وعلى ما يشطب به الكاتب الكتابة مع بقاء الورق على حاله، وعلى كيفية شمعة من طين تشعل النار فيها، وعلى كيفية اصطناع المداد وغير ذلك مما لا يستغتي عنه في الغالب، واصطناع ما يزيل الدهان ونحوها من الجوخ ونحوه.
