يأتي هذا الكتاب من ضمن سلسلة (دراسات في الكتاب المقدس) ويتحدث عن شخصيات مجهولة في الأناجيل التقاهم يسوع المسيح في الأناجيل، وكثير منّا يجهل أسماءهم. فمن هؤلاء الأشخاص؟ وكيف حدثت تلك اللقاءات؟ وما الذي تكشفه عن المسيح؟ إن دراسة مشهد صغير جداً وهو "فلس" الأرملة (مرقس 12:41-44) سيعطينا مفاتيح للتفسير إنها الأرملة الوحيدة في إنجيل مرقس، وهي آخر شخصية يلتقيها المسيح، قبل خروجه من الهيكل.
في هذا الكتاب يتم العمل على تفسير هذا المشهد في عملية إعادة قراءة عامة للمراحل التي التقى فيها المسيح أشخاصاً متألمين (مرضى أو ممسوسين) ولتلك التي يلتقي فيها أهالي حزانى. وهكذا يؤكد هذا الكتاب "أن كلاً من الأناجيل يتفرد برسم صورة عن ذلك الشخص الذي في نظر الجميع هو "المسيح"، والذي يمتدّ علمه من اليهود إلى الوثنيين، متجاوزاً كلّ فروقات السنّ والجنس والوضع الاجتماعي.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن مؤلّف الكتاب هو فياني بوييه، كاهن في أبرشية أنجيه، أستاذ الكتابات المقدسة في إكليركية الأبرشيات المشتركة لأقاليم اللوار (نانت) وهذا الكتاب-شخصيات مجهولة في الأناجيل-هو دراسة نابعة من أطروحة غير مطبوعة قام بمناقشتها في العام 2001 بالجامعة البابوية الفريفورية (روما) تحت إشراف رولان مينيه اليسوعي، بعنوان (لقاءات يسوع الرعوية في الأناجيل الإزائية: عندما يلتقي يسوع شخصيات مجهولة الإسم).
