فى عام 1994, لاحظت أن هناك العديد من الكتابة الإبداعية التى تصلني من كاتبات صغيرات بشكل ملفت. ليس من ناحية العدد ولكن من ناحية نوعية الكتابة, بدأت قراءتهن على مهل, فوجدت نوعا مختلفا من الكتابة, كتابة لها مذاق خاص, فيها جرأة محببة, وعوالم جديدة لم أقرأها من قبل. من هنا ولدت الفكرة, فكرة إجراء مجموعة من الحوارات لنشرها فى صفحة الأدب بالأخبار, أقدم للقارئ فيها هؤلاء الأدبيات لنقترب منهن ولنتعرف على عالمهن.
وقد اخترت لهذه الموضوعات عنوان "موسم كتابة البنات", وبالرغم من أن البعض اعترض على العنوان باعتبار أن الكتابة ليس لها موسم, فإننى أصررت على هذا العنوان من واقع انتشار هذه النوعية من الكتابة فى هذا الوقت, كما أنه عنوان "جذاب" بلغة الصحافة, وعندما فكرت فى إصدار كتاب جديد بعد كتابى الأول "طيور خارج السرب" اخترت أن يكون "موسم كتابة البنات" هو عنوان كتابي الثاني, بالإضافة إلى جزء ثان يضم مجموعة من الحورات أجريتها مع عمالقة الفكر والثقافة فى مصر والعالم العربي.
ما يسعدني الآن أن الكتابات اللاتى قدمتهن منذ ثلاثة عشر عاما هن الموجودات على الساحة الآن بإبداعاتهن الجميلة والمتميزة, ومن خلال النشر بأن نبوءتي كانت صحيحة, أرجو أن يشكل هذا الكتاب علامة صغيرة فى تاريخ حياتنا الثقافية الآن, مجرد رجاء.
