"السيد إبراهيم وأزهار القرآن" حوار ذاتي درامي بطله صبي يهودي نشأ وترعرع في أحد الأحياء الشعبية بباريس "الحي اليهودي" في الستينات.
يعيش موسى وحده مع أبيه المحامي، الذي لا يبدو أنه كان ناجحاً كثيراً في مهنته، أما أمه فقد هجرته وأبيه عندما كان موسى ما يزال طفلاً رضيعاً.
إن أجمل ما في القصة هي العلاقة التي تنشأ بين موسى اليهودي والسيد إبراهيم المسلم ونظرة موسى إلى علاقته بأبيه بالمقارنة مع علاقته بالسيد إبراهيم، فضلاً عن دور الأخير في نشأة موسى وصوغ نظرته إلى الحياة، والنهاية غير المتوقعة للقصة. هي قصة بسيطة في سردها، مؤثرة في معناها، مدهشة في تصويرها لنبل السيد إبراهيم المسلم، ونذالة والد موسى اليهودي.
تحولت الرواية إلى فيلم سينمائي من إخراج الفرنسي "فرانسوا دوبيرون" وجسد الممثل العملاق "عمر الشريف" شخصية السيد إبراهيم، ونال عليه جائزة، الـ"سيزار" للعام 2003، وقد قال عن الفيلم: "على القول أنه بالنسبة لي إن هذا الفيلم ليس دينياً أو حتى سياسياً. ما أحببته فيه أنه قصة حب. فيلم عن البشر، عن تبادل المشاعر بين بائع البقالة هذا الذي يتفلسف دون أن يدرك ذلك، والصبي "مومو" الذي لا يتحدث إليه أحد على الإطلاق، والذي لا يتصل أبداً بأي شخص ويجد أن كلام إبراهيم ليس له أي معنى في البداية، ولكن عندما يفكر فيه يدرك أن إبراهيم ليس أحمق على الإطلاق، ويتعلم أن يثق به.
