هذا الكتابُ الحديثي النفيسُ الموسومُ بــ "عقد الدُّرَرِ في أخبارِ المهديّ المنتظر"، فقد عُنِيَ بجميع معظم ما وردَ في الإمام المهديّ من عدِّةِ مصادر حديثيةٍ، إضافة إلى ذكر أبواب من أحاديث الفتن والملاحم، مثل أخبار الدَّجَّالِ، ونزول عيسى عليه الصلاة واللام، والملاحم الذي تستعرُ بين المسلمين والروم والتُّركِ والنار التَّي تستعر بين المسلمين والروم والتُّركِ، والنارِ الذي تسوق الناس، والدابة، وغير ذلك من الأهوال.
ومصنفه هو الإمام المحدثُ يوسف بن يحيى المقدسيُّ السلمي الشافعي، من علماء القرن السابع، وقد أجاد في التأليف، وأحسن في التصنيف والتبويب، ونقل من "الصَّحيحينِ" والسُّننِ وكتب الفتن ما تقرُّ بهِ أعينُ المُستفيدين.
