لعل القارئ الكريم يتساءل هنا لماذا قمت باختيار بعض مقالات بعينها ونقلتها إلى العربية، وأرجات ترجمة مؤلفات كاملة كما فعلت من قبل.
لا ريب في أن الإجابة عن هذا السؤال تفسر هذا الاختيار. فلقد قدمت للقارئ الكريم من قبل مجموعة من المقالات المختارة التي تشتمل على مجموعة من الأفكار المهمة. ولكن تتسم المجموعة المقدمة هنا بأنها أكثر تركيزًا، وأظن أنه ليس لدى القارئ معرفة بأسماء أغلب مؤلفها، كما أنها تجمع بين توجهات مختلفة في مرحلة من أهم مراحل تأسيس هذا الفرع اللغوي، أعني علم النص بوجه عام، وبحوث حديثة ترجع إلى مرحلة المراجعة والنقد، إذ إنها تطرح تساؤلات مهمة للغاية، منها: علم لغة النص إلى أين؟ ماذا قدم، وما الذي يجب أن يعنى به مستقبلًا؟ ما المسارات التي تختص بها علم النص في الوقت الحاضر؟ وما المهام والخطط التي يجب عليه أن ينفذها؟ إلى آخر تلك التساؤلات التي ترسم صورة واضحة المعالم لهذا العلم.
وقد اختيرت هذه المجموعة المترجمة هنا- وكما أشرت آنفًا- من دراسات جماعية، اهتممت فيها بالمتن أساسًا، ولم أورد من التعليقات إلا ما هو ضروري. والمقالات المختارة هي: علم لغة النص إلى أين، علم لغة النص نحو آفاق جديدة، النص والمنظور، النصوص أشكال تكوين المعرفة، التناص، مستقبل علم لغة النص، نحو تعريف للنص، نمط النص نمط تواصل، حول بعض مسائل أساسية في نظرية النص، حول وضع مستوى النص، حول البنية الدلالية والموضوعية لأداة الاتصال، من النص إلى الموضوع، علم لغة النص مهمة لغوية، حول التحليل اللغوي لبنية النص، الإحالة النصية (الإحالة المتقاطعة)، قيود نصية للنحو، علاقات سياقية بين الجمل في الانجليزية.
