ظهر لينين كشخصية ثورية فى غاية العنف، واستطاع أن يقفز من جانب إلى آخر ليكون قمة السوفييت. فهو الرجل الذى حول أفكار كارل ماركس إلى واقع بمنتهى القوة والعنف والقسوة. ومن رأيه أنه لا يمكن حل مشكلة من المشاكل إلا بالعنف.
وهو الذى جعل من العنف والقهر فلسفة فى الحكم. فالتارخ الشيوعى لم يعرف رجلاً استطاع أن ينفرد بالقهر والإرهاب والتخويف وإبادة الملايين كما فعل لينين فى الاتحاد السوفييتى دون أن تهتز له شعرة. فقد وضع أمام عينه سيطرة الحزب على الشعب بمنتهى القسوة. وشعاره: "لايلتوى الحديد بغير النار" والإنسان أشد صلابة من الحديد. فهو فى حاجة إلى نار بغير دخان: الضغط والقهر والعنف فى كل صورة. والشيوعيون يقدسون لينين كأنه إله، رغم أنهم لا يعرفون المقدسات ولا يؤمنون بالله!
