تكمن أهمية دراسة المحرض الصوري في أنه يدخل ضمن نطاق المساهمة الجنائية فيقع في دائرة التحريض والاتفاق، بل وقد يشتبه ببعض صور التحريض والإتفاق، بل وقد يشتبه ببعض صور التحريض- فهو تحريض ولكنه ليس كامل بل يقف عند مرحلة معنية حتى أن المحرض هو نفسه المبلغ عن الجريمة مما يجعلها صورة تثير اللبس والغموض، فكيف بالذي يحرض الجاني ويوعز له ويدفعه لارتكاب الجريمة فكيف هو الذي يبلغ السلطات ويحول دون إتمام وقوع الجريمة؟ فهو موقف غريب وغامض يحتاج للإتضاح والتفسير، لذا كانت أهمية دراسة القانوني ومسئولية وجريمة التحريض الصوري ووضعها القانوني ومسئولية المحرض الصوري ووضعه في النظرية العامة للمساهمة الجنائية وأنواع المحرضين الصوريين وأهدافهم. وقبل أن نعرض لجريمة التحريض الصوري كاملة يجب أن نعرض أولاً للمساهمة الجنائية ثم صور المسئولية الجزائية ثم التحريض والإتفاق ووضع المحرض الصوري بينهما ثم لجريمة التحريض الصوري ووضعها من نظرية المساهمة الجنائية.
