كانت غايتنا من هذا البحث أن ندلّ على أن لا حياةَ للخطاب الأدبي إلاّ في معناه المنبثق عن التفاعل بينه وبين قارئه، ويُمكن أن نقف من هذا الذي أصّلناه نظريّاً وعمدنا إلى قراءته إجرائياً على نتائج عدّة أوّلها أنّ ثراء هذه الخطابات ظلّ يُستمدّ من قدرتها على الإثارة، فهي قُطب فنيّ (pôle artistique) تتأسّس شعريّتها طرْداً مع قدرتها على فسح المجال لإمكانيّات المعنى، بما ينتظمه من وحدات النظام التخييلي.
وفي المُقابل فإنّ هذه الخطابات لا يُمكن أن تتفعّل إلاّ بوجود قارئ يتوفّر على نموذجٍ مُجرّد تُقرؤ من خلاله تلك الخطابات، تلك النسخة المُحقّقة، وبين أخذّ وردّ تتحقّق خطورة القراءة، فالخطاب قد يكون مُنقبض الخيال، محدود الأفق، ولكنّ القارئ قد يناله بأفقٍ إيديولوجيّ فيرفعه إلى مراتب من الإبداع وهو ليس منها في شيء.
وقد يكون الخطاب على العكس ذا نسبٍ عميقٍ بالإبداعِ ولكنّ أفق القارئ يكون مُنقبضاً، عندئذ يُظلمُ الخطاب إذ يجرّه القارئُ إلى أفقه التقريريّ فيذهبُ بطاقته الإبداعيّة.
ولذلك اعتنى غيرُ ناقدٍ بهذه القضيّة ورأى أنّ التفاعل بين الخطاب وقارئه لا بدّ أن يكون على أساس من الجهد يُجرّد فيه القارئ من ذاته الواقعيّة ذاتاً تخييليّة تستطيع أن ترتقي إلى عالم الإبداع بإعتباره عالماً من سياقٍ آخر مُخالفٍ لسياق التقرير، عالم التخييل.
