ما يميز هذا الشاعر اعتناؤه بالقصيدة، فهي تتحرك بترسَّل، وتنمو على مهل، بين تلك البدايات الغامضة، حتى النهايات القابلة للتأويل المتعدد، وبذلك تتفادى قصيدتُهُ اللهاثَ والتداعي، في إختزال داخلي وأناقة مبسطة في البناء، وتتناغم فيها الفكرة مع الصورة بإنسياب أليفٍ، وإذا تبدو عبارته مسترخية، وصُورُهُ ملتقطة بتأنٍ، فإنها متوترة من الداخل بذلك "الأسى الشفيف" بفعل صورة غير مبهجة عن العالم، يعتكف إزاءها صوت الشاعر نحو الداخل ويستغرق في التأمل، وإستلال حيرة الأعماق، ليقدم لنا تجربة أليفة لقصيدة المونولوج، لكنه ليس المونولوج أحادي النبرة تماماً، حيث الفرد والآخرون بلا صخب ظاهر يتسللون في ذلك الظلام الداخلي، وحيث البحث في "الأسود" الذي يبدو فضاء الرؤيا الخاصة غير المتاحة للجميع.
وهكذا تلتبس، أو بالأحرى تنقلب، الأنا بالأنت في تشيؤ للذات بمواجهة مازق الخارج.
