هو الجزء الأول من كتاب الإدارة الإستراتيجية في صناعة النقل الجوي، الذي يستفي روافده من أحدث الدراسات والبحوث العلمية العربية والعالية في الموضوع محل البحث، ومن تجارب المؤلف العملية على مدى ما يقارب ثلاثة قرون من الزمان في مؤسسة كانت ولا تزال في طليعة المؤسسات الوطنية، والناقلات الجوية العربية في تطبيق أحدث الأساليب الإدارية، ألا وهي الخطوط الجوية العربية السعودية.
إن ما تشهده صناعة النقل الجوي محلياً، وإقليمياً وعالمياً من متغيرات وتحديات على مختلف الأصعدة السياسية والاقتصادية والقانونية والاجتماعية والتقنية، تركت بالغ الأثر سلباً وإيجاباً على اقتصاديات الطيران والأوضاع المالية للناقلات الجوية، لهو أبلغ دليل على حتمية الإدارة الإستراتيجية لمنظمات الأعمال بصفة عامة وصناعة النقل الجوي بصفة خاصة ويركز الجزء الأول على الأسس والمبادئ.
وقد تناول المؤلف موضوع الإدارة الإستراتيجية من خلال ثلاثة أجزء:
الجزء الأول: يشمل مرحلة المفاهيم والأسس.
الجزء الثاني: يشمل مرحلة صياغة الاستراتيجية.
الجزء الثالث: يشمل مرحلة تنفيذ وتقويم الاستراتيجية.
أبواب هذا الكتاب كرس المؤلف كل منها لبحث مرحلة من المراحل الأربعة لعملية الإدارة الاستراتيجية، وهي: المرحلة الأولى: المسح البيئي: تحليل البيئتين الداخلية والخارجية. المرحلة الثانية: صياغة الإستراتيجية. المرحلة الثالثة: تنفيذ الاستراتيجية. المرحلة الرابعة: تقويم ومراقبة الإستراتيجية.
الباب السابع تناول موضوع "حوكمة الشركات" نظراً لا يمثله من أهمية بالغة لضمان فعالية تطبيق الإدرة الإستراتيجية وتحقيق مخرجاتها المنشودة بما يحق تطلعات وتوقعات أصحاب المصالح والتأثير.
الباب الثامن الذي يبحث موضوع الإدارة الاستراتيجية بين دواعي الإخفاق وعوامل النجاح، وذلك م خلال تقديم بعض النصائح والإرشادات التي تعرف القارئ بالأخطاء الشائعة والممارسات الخاطئة التي ينبغي عليه تجنبها، وكذلك أهم عوامل النجاح المتمثلة في أفضل الممارسات التي ننصح القارئ الكريم باتباعها لضمان نجاح تطبيق الإدارة الإستراتيجية بمشيئة الله.
وقد حرص المؤلف على مدى أبواب الكتاب الثمان على دعم النظرية بالتطبيق من واقع صناعة النقل الجوي، مع استخدام النماذج الفكرية والأشكال والجداول التوضيحية حيث جاء الكتاب مشتملاً على العديد من الأشكال التوضيحية والجداول.
