يفرد الدكتور صليبا كتابه هذا في سلسلة ًالصمت في التصرف والأديانً لواحد من أكبر أبطال الصمت المعاصرين. وهو قديس لبنان الراهب الحبيس شربل مخلوف(1828-1898) وفي الكتاب يدرس الإختبار الروحي لهذا القديس والدور والموقع المحوري للصمت فيه. وقد قسّم المؤلف كتابه الى ثلاثة أقسام، أو كما أطلق عليها ًثلاثيةً. كانت ثلاث.
حملت الثلاثية الاولى عنوان ًشربل نموذجاً لتراث الصمت المارونيً. وقد بحث المؤلف في هذه الثلاثية وضمن فصول ثلاث كل من المواضيع التالية: شربل نموذجاً لتراث الصمت الماروني (نشأة النسك الماروني وتطوره، دي شاستوي ناسك جبل لبنان، الصمت في مفهوم دي شاستوي وإختباره، الموارنة شعب تجذرت فيه القيم الرهبانية، من مارون وأنطونيوس الى شربل، تراث نسكي متواصل). أما الفصل الثاني فقد دار حول شربل طفلاً ومبتدئاً صامتاً، (الصمت في طفولة شربل وشبابه، شربل مبتدئاً صامتاً، صمت شربل قوته الكبرى).
ودار الفصل الثالث حول شربل الراهب الصامت (الصمت في القوانين الرهبانية، شربل العامل الصامت، شربل الراعي الصامت، شربل راهباً وحبيساً صامتاً). وبالإنتقال الى الثلاثية الثانية: فقد خصصها المؤلف للحديث عن نذور شربل التي هي أنماط الصمت.
وجاء ذلك ضمن فصول ثلاث. دار الفصل الأول حول عفة شربل: صمت النظر والشهوات. وتناول الفصل الثاني الحديث عن فقر شربل الذي يماثل صمت الرغبات. أما الفصل الثالث فقد دار حول طاعة شربل أو بعبارة أخرى صمت الارادة لديه. وأما الثلاثية الثالثة فقد حملت عنوان: صمت شربل وإشعاعه بين الأمس واليوم وتمّ إلقاء الضوء.
ومن خلال فصول ثلاث على مواضيع ثلاث. 1-صمت شربل الذي يمثل إنخطافاً وإتحاداً. 2- ثم شربل ومتصوفو المسيحية والإسلام، وأخيراً جثمان شربل صمت صارخ. وجاءت خاتمة البحث حول صمت شربل ومغزاه في هذا العصر. وتم إلحاق الكتاب بملحقين ضم الأول منها حديثاً حول تميز في حفظ الحواس وصمتها للشيخ الروحاني يوحنا الدلياتي. وتم تخصيص الملحق الثاني للحديث عن الصمت إقتداءً بالمسيح.
