محمد بن قاسم بن محمد بن محمد، أبو عبد الله، شمس الدين الغزي، ويعرف بابن قاسم وبابن الغرابيلي:
فقيه شافعي ولد ونشأ بغزة، وتعلم بها وبالقاهرة وأقام بهذه وتولى أعمالا في الأزهر وغيره. من كتبه (فتح القريب المجيب في شرح ألفاظ التقريب - ط) يعرف بشرح ابن قاسم على متن أبي شجاع و (حاشية على شرح التصريف - خ) في الأزهرية، علق بها على شرح السعد التفتازاني للتصريف العربيّ و (حواش على حاشية الخيالي - خ) في شرح العقائد النسفي

إن هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا -فتح القريب المجيب في شرح ألفاظ التقريب للعلامة الشيخ محمد بن قاسم الغزي- لمن أجل الكتب السهلة في الفقة الشافعي، وهو شرح لكتاب "غاية التقريب" للعلامة القاضي أبي شجاع الأصفهاني، الذي ألفه في غاية الإختصار على مذهب الإمام الشافعي رحمه الله تعالى، ليقرب على المتعلم درسه، ويسهل على المبتدئ حفظه. فقام الإمام الغزي بشرح هذا المختصر وتوضيح مبهمه وتفصيل مجمله، لينتفع به المحتاج من المبتدئين لفروع الشريعة والدين.
وتمتاز هذه الطبعة التي بين أيديكم: بتخريج الأيات القرآنية، وضبطالأحاديث النبوية، ووضع علامات الترقيم بين الجمل، وشرح بعض الألفاظ الصعبة، وبعض التراكيب الغامضة، وذكر أصول الأحكام من الكتاب والسنة النبوية. فأردنا أن نقدم هذه الطبعة للمسلمين ولطلاب العلم لينتفعوا بها وتكون وجها من وجه الإفادة لهم.
